We’ve got tonight,
he told the stylish lamp
beside his bed.
Forget tomorrow.
Just you and me tonight,
he told the festive stars
outside the window,
and the shy light
on someone’s porch
where his street turned
and set out
on its own adventures tonight,
just the street
and the dashing spring winds.
